Thank you for your insights into managing time/work effortlessly. My 2¢:

Work seems effortless when you love what you do. As a tech business owner, I could have scaled up my company 10x in 20 years. Instead, I kept it at 1x and gave myself 80/20 work-flow. I work 80% of the time on things that matter to me. 20% of my work is chores — artificial deadline-driven work. With my 80% time, I focus on reading, writing articles to personal-focused, productivity tools.

And most importantly, I spend a considerable amount of time with my two elementary-school going boys. No, I am not a helicopter parent. I am an active catalyst in their environment. Children love to follow their parents’ habits, and so being engaged with the positive habits of life — reading, writing, playing, and learning — makes my household a remarkable effortless existence. In the morning, I take that same mindset to my office with my staff, and life has been blessed.
